The rebels wera defeated, leaving eighty dead, and General Williams was mortally wounded by n fragment from a. shell. Madero, at the head of sixty thousand troops, has started- I'o,- the Casagraude region, where a battle is expected. The rebels trapped a force of ninely Federals into a canyon near Atlixce Piiebln. The Federals were shot down, a few of the wounded alone escaping. The Chamber of Deputies l ias vo ted four million dollars to suppress tho insurrection.
