The Federal Houlder Shir© tmer Nairnshire, which. loaded Home cargo a* Timaru last week for Home ports, left Picton for Avonmouth at 6 p.m. o ' Saturday. It is announced that the Mararoa will continue to await tlie arrival at Lyttelton of the second express until Easter.

The Shaw Snrill and Albion liner Lelphie left- Monte Viaeo on Friday kst for London. An exceptionally good run of 1? days was made by the Xew Zealand Shipping Company's triple-screw liner Kotorna. whr-h arrived at pronto Vidro last week from Wellington. She is timed to reach London on 21st- inst. A Wellington exchange states that the Federal Houlder Shire liner Surrey from Liverpool, arrived at Melbourne last Saturday on her way to New Zealand ports. She will proceed to Sydney next, and thence direct- to Wellington, after discharge there she proceeds to Auckland, Lyttelton and Tlmaru with remainder of cargo. The New Zealand Shipping Comptny's steamer Kaikoura, which, was originally fixed to load at London for Bonedin. Timaru and Lyttelton, has been withdrawn from that ran. having le7t the home port- last week for Auckland, Wellington and Ljttelton. Her run is to be taken by the Rakaia, ■which leaves London 011 Friday direct fo~ Duuedin. She may be looked for a* this port about the first week in Apri!.
