Peter the Painter has been described by an acquaintance as a man of intellectual attainments, and a great Continental Anarchist organiser. It is believed that he was one of the chief organisers of the Russian Revolution in 1905, and is wanted by the Russian police. Received 12.40 a.m., Jan. 30th. THE CLAPHAM "S" MURDER. LONDON, Jan. 29. In the Beron case, Eva Flatterman withdrew her testimony, saying that what she saw looked like a shilling. The Magistrate is considering her committal for perjury. Layman, a cabman, testified that he drove Morrison and another man from the corner of Sidney Street to Clapham. TRAIN-ROBBER CAUGHT. NEW YORK, Jan. 28. 'A robber, single-handed, at the revolver's point held up a Colorado passenger ear near Queblo, and secured 100 dollars and a quantity of jewellery. He leaped out of the train, some men followed him, and shot the fugitive in 'the wrist and captured him. The robber said he was drunk.
