WHERE THE PRIVATE OWNER SCOItES. j The North Canterbury Motor Cycle Club's Reliability Trial, which, took place during Christmas week over the Dunedui-Ghristchurch route, provided a thorough and severe test for th-2 various makes of machines competing. The result of the trial was to demonstrate the superiority in every point of Triumph 3J-h.p. machine. In the first place it obtained first award in the Private Owner Class, showing that it does not require professional handling in order to score well in trials. Mr S. F. Barnett's Triumph won for him the Triumph Challenge Cup, the first prize awarded by the Club, and a special prize. Better tha>i all this, the machine made the highest aggregate of marks of any machine in the trial, scoring 990 nut of a possible 1000. and beating, in the matter of reliability and petrol economy every other competitor. 'When a private owner attains a. result like that, you've cot to admit that lie must have had Hie best machine in the bunch. And the Triumph doesn't depend for its New Zealand reputation on tin's one bij victorv.
