Tfe Storm arrived from Port Chalmers early yesterday morning, and after working the port_ proceeded to Lyttelton in the evening. The barque Pleione, which is bringing a full toad of coal across from Newcastle for Timarn, is doe bare the first week"- in February. The turret deck steamer Clan Shaw, 3943 tans, will proba&ly call at Timaru towards tbe end of . this month, to ; load wool and general cargo for Lon- . don and the Continent. She is under charter to Mr G. H. Scales, of Wellington. The Corinna is one day behind her time-table, and consequently will not arrive here till to-morrow. , The Westport Coal Company advise that tie Kini is'loading at Westport for Timaro at the end of this week. She brings 600 tons of coal, and is due here on Monday next. The W&naka, duo, to-day from ' the Bluff, loads 1400 tons produce for Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. The Scales liner Clan Chisholm which loaded -wool at Timaru for Home ports recently, left Wellington on the homeward run early on Tuesday morning. Her cargo from New Zealand comprised 7000 bales of wool, and she has also 1400 tons concentrate* from Port Pirie. The Union Company's steamer Aparima is about to embark on a foreigngoing Toyage. She' leaves Donedin at the end of the week for Newcastle, . where after ballasting she will load a full cargo of wheat at Australian ports for Europe. The ketch Lizzie Taylor, whicH left Timara for Wellington at 9 a.m. on 4th inst., arrived at her destination at 6.20 p.m. on Tuesday, the voyage oc- - cupyinjr 165 hours. On the previous - trip the distance was covered in 36 hours. - '■ The Federal Honlder Shire liner Nairnshire is to leave Newcastle on Saturday for Waitnra, to commence bjomeward loading. THs vessel: will -proceed to Wellington, Timaru and Lvttelton, and is timed to leave Lyttelton on, 31st inst. for Avonmouth Sirect. The Marine Department lias issued a notice staling that tbe revolving light at Cape Maria Van Dremen will b* resumed on the night of January 17.
