Lambs, best brands, sd; fair quality 4id; inferior quality 4gd. Boef is unohanged. Plate sheep, light, B£d, heavy 3fd. TATTERSALL'S HORSE MARKET. Tho Canterbury Farmers' Co-op. Association report on their Weekly horse market at Tattersall'e yards on Saturday as follows:—The yarding comprised 27 horses of all sorts'. There was a keen enquiry for Rood young horses, hut few of these were offering. Aged draughts brought from £9 to £l7, young draughts from £23 to £32, and harnos horseß from £8 to £l4. Tho bay trotting mare "Cabago Tree'/ brought £22. Four shares in tho Asociation, paid up to £3 15s, wore sold for £4 4b oach on account of Mr W. 0. Bonbow, of Temuka. ,- .-,. "the mart. Leslie. O'Callaghnn and Co. report as follows on business during tho past week:— Poultry.—A good ontry mot with a ready sale, at prices a little better than those ruling at late sales. Pigs.—23 were penned, and the lot sold at improved prices. Good weaners are worth from 6s to 12s according to quality. Produce.—There is an excellent inquiry for oats and ohaff. Potatoes are slow of sale. Fowl wheat is in much better dmand, and consignments are advised. The following prices give a fair indication of local values:—Oats 2s 3d, oat sheaf chaff 3s 9d, oat straw Is Gd, wheat straw (difficult to sell) 1b to Is 3d (sacks in), potatoes Id per lb, barley 8s to 9s. Fruits.—Extra heavy supplies cf Teviot fruits are now coming to hand daily, .and all consignments are easily prices:—Peaches 2d to 3d, apricots 2Jd to 3d, plums 2d to 3d. Tho soason is likely to be a short one, and consumers are advised to seoure their supplies early. During tho week -we held two soles of household feoods, at both of winch a complete clearance was effected.
