BEFORE PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Nov. 14, The Presbyterian General Assembly, discussed Bible-reading in State Schools this morning. The merits of the New South AVales and Nelson systems were debated at great length. Xiie Committee adupced a report on tlie subject winch. expressed gratitude that the Nelson system whs being adopted by increasing numbers of ministers and Glirist.an workers; urging ministers and elders to co-operate with all who wish tin? Education Act to be so amended as to include simple reading of si portion of the Scriptures at the -opening of school. Discussion then continued va the merits uf the two schemes named.
