WAIMATE. Tho committee of the Waimato A, and P. Association mot in the new rooms, Queen street, on Saturday! Present: Mr J. Bltchenor (president), and ten members. Apologies were recived from Messrs Garland and Guthrie. Mr Hamilton, chairman, '"on behalf of the South Canterbury Education Board, wrote thanking the Association for its permission to use part of the Association's paddock, about three acres, for purposes of instruction in agriculture by the Education Board's Instructor in Agriculture. Mr Samuel Bid protested against Mr Fisher being awarded a prize for farmers' turn-out of horse, spring cart, and harness at the recent show, on tho ground of non-c<mn>liaiico with the Association's . conditions. It was resolved that the president and Mr Hay interview Mr Fisher and Mr Bird 011 the matter.

The resignations of membership of Messrs Fisher, G. Miller, ond J. IJendersou were accented. Sir J'!. A. Hurst was admitted to membership. Tho president and Mr Francis were asked to interview Mr Mart'n, auctioneer. with the view of cancelling his auctioneer's charges at sale of privileges at the annual shinv.y, auetioneery on previous similar occasions not having charged auction fees. The thanks of the committee were accorded to Messrs Wylie, Mitchell, Borrio, and O'iirien,) for not charging for their attendance as judges at the late show. The balance sheet of the annual show 011 November Jir<l was adopted. The receipts were: Gale money £1.04 14s (id. stand £l. 2s fid, motor paddock £1 7s fid, total admission fees £lO7 4s Gd; entries of stock, etc., £1:29, exhibits space £(i 18s 3d, side shows £o ss, sale of privileges (£40 —less advertising and commission £2 10s fid.) £4O Os Od, sale of catalogues £l4 10s, sheep weightguessing £2 2s, stepping competition £1 1.25, snceial urines cash £6O 19s; total £307 lis 3d. Expenditure—Prize money £244 16s, special prizes (cash) £6O lite, printing a lid advertising £44 4s, labour £7 7s fid, gatcmen and assistant stockmen £7 lis, judges' expenses £7 ss, luncheons £9 10s, band-£5, sundries £9 18s Kid, total £396 lis 4d. Deficit balance. £29 0s Id. (There are outstanding subscriptions due £147). A d sctission was held as to improvements to lie suggested in preparing catalogues, schedules and programmes for judging, and arrangements as to time for judging, especially horses, at next show; and it was resolved that a special meeting of committee be held on Saturday, December 3rd, to consider proposals 011 these matters. -Accounts, prizes, etc., to the amount of £4lB, were passed for payment.
