Water invaded the Quai d'Auteuil in the West ot the City and tljo sewers are overflowing in the IXue Fajicien David. The military are raising tho walls of the quays. A STEAMER'S MISHAP. NEW YORK, Nor. IS. The wooden steamer Portland, belonging to the Alaska Coast Company., struck an unchartered rock at Kntuil.t River mouth during a snowstorm. The passengers rushed on deck in their night garments, but a panic, was averted \by the cooiness of the captain >-;ul crew. The passengers were all landed safely. CAR AND TRAIN COLLIDE. NEW YORK, Nov. 13. Six were -killed and twenty-six injured (four fatally) by a collision between a train and a street car in Kalamazoo. All those killed and injured were travelling in the street car.
