WAIMATE. At the sitting of the Magistrate's Court at Waimate yesterday, before Mr T. Hutchison, S.IU., judgment went by default in the following civil cases:— It. AY. Hutt (Mr Middleton) v. Fred Joyce, claim £3 Is (id, costs 10s; .J'olm Meehan (Mr Perry) v. Patrick Burns, £75 3s 6d, £4 13s 6d; J. Hurst and Sons (Mr Perry) v. Angus McDonald, us 6d, ss; Same v. G. Kihvortli sear., £2 Is 3d, os; Ross and McClintock (Mr Hamilton) v. J. Harper, £3 7b 8d 10s; J. G. Butcher- (Mr Middleton) y T. H. Wilce, £l9 3s 9d, £1 10s 6d; T. Richmond (Mr Hamilton) v Wm Galbraith, £1 10s, os; Mrs J. Lindsay (Mr Middleton) v. James Jordan, £8 6s, £1 3s 6d. In the case Thos. Wells (.Mr Hamilton) v. Win. Davis, claim £6 os, judgment went by consent, with costs £1 3s 6d. Mrs J. P. Smith I.Mr Hamilton) claimed £6B 17s lOd from C. A.
