They covered the driver and fireman with revolvers, and began robbing the passengers. The train staff, however, secured a revolver from the rear coach, and turned the tables on the robbers, and live of the eight were arrested. After M:ss McLoughlan's acquittal for a similar ofl'enee, Kate Ereitach, the nineteen year old daughter of well to do residents of New Orleans, killed her fiancee, a man named Michlor, alleging that he had betrayed her. She shot him with a revolver in a crowded street. .Her trial is being delayed. the authorities fearing another acquittal under the " unwritten law." THE RAXDWICK MURDEK.
