Jhe fires in the boiler were banked at I midnight. when the men engaged in pumping left the mine. 0 1 he lire was discovered bv the night slnit on one of the dredges working near by. A bucket brigade saved the remaining building and poppet heads from destruction. The property had only been taken over by a working party about twelve months ago. They expect to be able to resume work at tlie mime at the beginning or next week. There are insurances 011 the building but. amounte aro not available. In July 1906 a great fire occurred ia this nnne. when four men were entombed but were safely rescued.
