The Fasting Man.

Every now and thou, from New York, Loudon, or some other big city, you hear of :i. inan who can go lurly clays without food! Hut every such man, at the end of his fast, looks weak and ill! He has scarcely strength enough to walk, and is as thin as a hull. That is sufficient proof that we must eat to live! i'Tirlher, we must digest what we eat, or we shall be weak and ailing, like all dyspeptics a.-e! if yon are weak rise t.ied, with no relish lor breakfast and dreading your work; if you have headaches, biliousness, c-uubtipai,iun, dizziness, nervousness or low spirits, you need only the power to digest food* to make you well and strong again. V,,u need the hplp that Mother beigei's Syrup gives! It helps your stomach, liver and bowels to do their work properly. Then you can digest iood, and good health follows naturally. Take, for example, the experience of Mr. William Cregan, Morse btreet, The Valley, Brisbane, Queensland; who, in a letter dated January L'Bth, 1910, says : "For a year and nine months, I was badly afflicted with indigestion and constipation. These distressing ailments shattered my health, until life became a burden. Meat, vegetables, fruit and sweets all caused me much pain and discomfort. 1 could only cat 'slop-food.' for which 1 had no appetite. "1 had a tight feeling across mv chest, and my stomach was often distended with wind, which caused severe pains about my heart. Week In- week my strength declined and I lost flesh until there was little left of me but skin and bone. At night, I. seldom knew what it was to get two hours, at a time, of sound sleep. 1 would just doze and wake up, half a dozen times in a night. "In the mornings, I had a bad taste in my mouth, no appetite for breakfast, and felt anything but fit to tackle the day's work. The constipation, too, kept getting worse and the doctor ordered me purgatives, which only afforded temporary relief. For my indigestion, after trying doctor's medicine, I tried a variety of advertised remedies but got no real benefit until an old friend induced me, two years back, to try Mother Seigel's Syrup. "Almost from the first, I could feel that the Syrup was doing me good, and in a week 1 was considerably better in every way. I began to eat and take enjoyment in my food. The pains to which I .had been accustomed, after eating, grew less after each dose of the Syrup, and my bowels acted more freely.

'•As I continued to use tlio Syrup, I made rapid advances towards recovery, and in the course of a couple of months. I was fully and completely restored to health.

; 'As a reliable, effective remedy, for Indigestion and constipation, there is nothing in all Australia to equal Mother Seigel's Syrup." Mr. Cregan was sure to suffer as long as his stomach was out of order—unable to digest and gain naurishment from food. Mother Seigl's Syrup restored his stomach to working order, made food nourish him, stimulated the action of bis liver and bowels and thus it cured him —once for all.

Mother Seigel's Syrup will cure you, too, if you have stomach or liver disorder. Take it daily, after meals.
