It is proposed to increase the salary ol the Public Trustee from £BSO to £IOOO, and that of the chief clerk from £505 to £550, inspector £450 to £sOll. assitant solicitor £250 to £2ii!l. In the State Advances Depaitment the increases include: Deputy Superintendent £425 to £450, accountant £205 to £3OO, solicitor £3OO to £325. Other ea=es are: .Registrar of the Patents Office £4OO to £420: Chief Clerk .Police Department, C3!»5 to £425; Regi-trar Kherilf, and Registrar of the Court of Appeal in Wellington, £47.3 to £405: Visiting Adviser to the Prisons Department, £234 to £350; Kditor Police Gazette, £219 to £250; storekeeper, £2OO to £242: Registrar-General of Land. etc.. £6OO to ' £625 ; Deputy-Re-gistrar, £385 to £4OO, second assistant £225 to £240.
