BOXING.
TIMARU BOXING ASSOCIATION. A meeting of tho cominittee of tha abovo Association was held at the Hibernian Hotel last evening. There were present—Messrs F. C. Watson (in the .•hair), G. E. Triggs, W. W. Wado. J. 0 J)011I10]1, 111. G. Kerr, H. Goodwin,and F. Waddell (hon. sec). It wat decided to ask J. Hagerty to represent South Canterbury at the New Zealand championships to bo decided in Palmersfcon North next month. The next contests in Timaru will be held in the Drill Hall on Show nights, when a number of special bouts between picked men will take place.
SPORTS CLUB. Per Press Association. m CHRISTCHURCH, June 13. The Christchurch Sports Club has selected the following team to compete lor the New Zealand hosing championsliips at Palmerston North:—Bantam, C. Cliisnall; featherweight, E. T. Gundry; light-weight, R. Simpson j welter, A. T. Griffin; middle weight, Tj. Cade. The club will be represented by Mr A. Dickson at tho conference of local associations.
