INSANE MOTHER DROWNS HER CHILD AND HERSELF. Press Aseociation-By Telegraph-Copvright MELBOURNE, June "10. A terrible tragedy occurred at Koe-t-ong. Mrs Thompson, who was suffering from dementia, took her three children for a walk. On reaching a, dam she threw one child into the water after attaching a large stone to its dross. It managed to get out. The mother seized another child of five and held it under the water. The two others then ran away, and when they returned with assistance the dead bodies of mother and child were found in the dam. A MYSTERIOUS DEATH. Received 11.20 p.m., June 10th. NEW YORK, June 10. Tile police are investigating an alleged death from convulsions of a millionaire's septuagenarian widow, Mrs Stelle. She had the seizure when she heard that Edgar Acetta a young Italian singer, had been detained as a witness to the murder in a dark street of his friend, Plhlip Catalono. She died when Acetta was released, and visited her. Mrs Stelle's will revealed tho fact that she had bequeathed Acetta £SOOO in consideration of abandoning a breach of promise action against her for £IO,OOO.
