LIQUOR FOR YOUTHS.

NELSON, May 24. At Motueka Court yesterday several hotelkeepers and employees -were chaarged with breaches of" the Licensing Act in supplying youths under the apparent age of eighteen, and in permitting drunkenness. The cases - are the sequel to the accident at Pokororo on Easter Monday night by which the young man porter lost his life. The evidence then showed that the deceased and companions had been drinking during the day nt various hotels mid at the licensed booth oa the sports grounds and the Coroner directed the police to make searching inquiries into tlie matter. Four convictions were entered on charges of serving a. youth under age, two defendants being' fined £'3, Another £2, and the other without a fine.
