Vinsijak Savarkar, the Indian arrested yesterday, was a member of Gray's Inn, and correspondent for Indian papers. He has been remanded, bail being refused.
CALCUTTA, March 14
The Lieut-Governor of Bengal lias ordered tho confiscation of a quantity of waist-cloths havinrj borders inscribed with a seditious Bengali poem.
