At the wool sales good crossbreds and merinos arc keenly competed for. Common sorts arc irregular. . Silver, Is 11 9-16 d per oz.

At the tallow sale 1191 casks were offered and 428 sold at a decline of 3d to 6d except for good to fine. Copper, on spot, £SB 10s per ton: three months, £SB lis 3d.

Tin, on spot, £142 10s per ton; three months £144. Lead, £l3 Is 3d per ton. Received 9.20 p.m., Dec. 2nd. LONDON, Deo. 2. The American visible supply of wheat is 60,134,000. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Christchurch, have received the following from their London Office, dated 29th November, 1909. "Poor demand for frozen meat, and prices are weak. There are abundant supplies of home and continental, in addition tostocks of New Zealand that are not .cleared. Prices of frozen mutton and, lamb are lower by £d since our last cable, and frozen bv Id to 3d per lb."
