SUPREME COURT.

Per Press Association. DUNEDIX, Xov. 23. At the Supremo Court to-day Edward Burgess, Edward Pyle, and John Healey, were charged with having on August 24th robbed James Andrew McLean of £l7 2s and with having used personal violence towards him. There were other count* charging accused wit hstealing money, assault with intent to rob, and assault. Owing to McLean not putting in an appearance it was decided that the case stand over till next sittings. William Brooks who was found guilty yesterday on a charge of acting on ,-i cheque knowing it to have been forged and who pleaded guilty to a charge of obtaining money- by false pretences, was sentenced to 12 months on each charge, the sentences to run concurrently.
