PERSONAL ITEMS.
Mr Johannes C' Anderson, of Cliristchurch, came down to Timaru by the Jirst express yesterday, and went on to Cave last evening, on the way to spend a fortnight with. Mr T. D. Burnett at Mount Cook station. Mr H. L. Bowdeii, of the Temuka staff of the Bank of New Zealand, has been ordered by his medical adviser to take a lengthened rest, owing to a lung trouble, and he left on Saturday lor Ash burton. Miss Mary McMillan Mills, of Temuka, was among the list of successful candidates at the recent class examinations of the Otago University. Mr Frank Coira, an ex-Temuka boy on the staff of the Hastings branch of the post and telegraph, who is now spending a holiday at Temuka has been notified that he is to be transferred (with promotion) to the Carterton branch of the service. Mr Jno. Sim and Mr J. Gaffaney, of Temuka, are on a visit to the. North Island.
