He won amongst other races the V.R.C; St. Leger, Marfbyrnong Plate, Sires Produce Stakes, Goodwood Handicap, etc., and was second in the Ascot Vale Stakes, Caulfield Guineas, and Caulfield Futurity Stakes. In the season just closed Finland was ninth in the list of winning sires with a total of £4853. He is the sire of numerous winners, including JBobrikoff, Nyland, Lapland, Chief Lochiel, Helianthes, Merry Lass, Outlander, Portland, Restless, Vasa, Wardland, White Cockade, Zero, and Scotch Plaid.
