WAIMATE SALES. Messrs Wall and Martin report ou their'weekly auction sale as follows: x We had an average entry of livestock. There was a good attendance and competition was keen for all good lines, last week's prices being fully maintained. We would advise clients to consign pigs and poultry as the market is firm at present. We offered on account of a ,clicnt ono thoroughbred colt which did not change hands. One cow was sold at £3. About 50 pigs were entered and all sold; weaners 12s to 17s 6d, smalt stores 17s (kl to 245. About 60 head of poultry were entered. Boosters Is 6d to 2s 3d, hens Is 3d to 2s Id/ducks Is 6d; at per head. .Produce: Chick wheat best lis to 13s, medium 9s to 10s"; inferior 8s; oats (is tid to 7s, oat sheaf chaff 2s in; potatoes, prime table 5s to 7s 6d, medium 4s to ss, pig potatoes Is 6d; swedes Is 6d to 2s; carrots 2s; onions Id per lb; parsnips 6d to Is per sugar bag; "cabbages in sugar bags Is, in sacks 2s 6d to 3s; prime -Up-to-Datc seed potatoes 8s to 9s. We have an ' enquiry for, early varieties. We also sokl a large consignment of frozen mutton, and'a'large assortment of furniture and sundries.which realised full market values.
