WAUIOA, Sept. 4. It 'is reported that gold has been 1 discovered in the' Waikaremoana district. A sample has been sent to . It is tsated on good authority that the i Government has taken Duff's run, abou 10,00 acres, for closer settlement. Most of the land is of excellent quality for grasing. At the Supreme Court yesterday, John .Tancred, charged with breaking .and entering, in whose case two juries failed to agree, was remanded on bail till the next criminal sittings.
