Lidcly, were?further adjourned until September 30th, by reason of an appeal case wliich is pending. TRUANCY., The truant- officer brought charges against three ' parents' fof failing to send thoir children to school regularlv. A charge against frs Hagerty was adjourned until September 16th owing to the defendant being ' ill, and two charges against William Weir were adjourned to October 2nd. A charge against George Hilton was dismissed, it being shown that tho'child had been kept from school on account of measles. M A 1 NTE.V A XCE. Jani.es Thin was charged with being till' father 9 of an illegitimate child and with failing to make provision for its mantoiiance. The c;isc was adjourned to September 2nd to give opportunity for an amicable settlement.
