It was decided to instruct the Victorian delegates to the Australian Association to vote for the New Zealand proposals. ST. JOHN'S CLUB. The annual meeting of the St. John's Tennis Club was held in the St. John's Hall last night, Dr Loughnan presiding over an attendance of about fifty members and intending members. . The financial statement showed that ihe clnb fia3 a 'cfeoit balance of 4d, £2 better than last year, which was considered very satisfactory. On the motion of Messrs Venning ?nd O'Leary the report and balancesli»et were adopted. The election of officers resulted .is follows: —President, Rev. Father Tubman; Vice-Presidents, Revs. Fathers Kerlev and Smith: Secretary and Treasurer, Mr M. Scliaab; Committee, J)r Loughnan, Messrs _ Burns, S. VenninjE and Unnn an<i ifcses Kane, j\lacAteer, McGrath and Carmody; Cap-tain,-Mr T. Burns. Acceding to the request of the Snorts Association Messrs T. Burns and M. Schaab were nominated as the club's delegates. In answer to a letter from Mr Hogg Peking what the club's opinion was of the formation of the Snorts' Association, it was decided to reply that the ideo was a good one.. _ _ The meeting then terminated with +be usoal votes of thanks, and judging from annearances so far the club should have a good season before them.
