The-balloon was a day and a half in the air. SPOIL OF THIEYES. A ..cleaner, discovered'-a -eashbox containing £68.000 worth of bank, notes in a railway carriage at Rerfevonto station. No trace of the owner could he found. The carriage had lately been used in the earthquake ravaged district, and it is surmised that {he notes was the spoil of thieves.
