Mr J. Cameron, organising secretary of this Anti-Asiatic League, after spending a week in this district, left for Duncdin yesterday. •Mr Tehrig, lately licensee of the Commercial Hotel, Geraldiue, left for Christchurch on Wednesday, en route for the West Coast, iu search of a licensed house.
,Mr W. H. Triggs has joined tho Board of Directors of tho Christchurch Press Company, and it is understood that lie will continue the editorial control of "The Press." \ Mr R. H. Turton, S.M. at Greymouth, takes the duties of the late Mr W. P. James, S.M.. at Masterton. Mr A. Crooke. of Lawrence, recently appointed a Magistrate, succeeds Mr Turton at Greymouth.
