The -Hon. Dr. Find lay, Minister of Justice returned north from Timaru by the lirst express on Saturday. The Hon. Mr Buddo was a, passenger by the same train from Dun.edn). Mr Isaac,, an Inspector of Technical Classes, spent last week in this district. He went north by the first express on Saturday. _ . The Hon. It. McKenzie, Minister of Public "Works, is expected to arrive by the first express from Christehurch this morning. Tho local representatives in Parliament have some business to lay before him regarding new branch railway. He goes south this afternoon or to-morrow. Mr It. C. Tennent. manager of the Hank of New South Wales at Timani, has been offered and accepted the managership of the bank at Invcreargill, which means well deserved promotion. Mr Tennent will he leaving for the south in October, and will be succeeded at Timaru by Mr G. A. It. Maekay, at present manager at Nelson.
