A DOCTOR'S HOAX,

The "Daily Chronicle" learns on the authority of the so-called Dr Boyd himself, that the airship story cabled on July 7th was a fabrication, aud that he hoaxed the Daily News." His motive is not stated.
A London message of July 7tli stated that a private syndicate with a quarter of a - million capital, is being formed to work Dr M. Boyd's airship. He,, with two companions, crossed the Irish Channel with the utmost secrecy at night time last May, at a height of 350 ft. The time occupied was four hours, and the distance covered was nir>"t,v ' miles. Dr B«vd landed near Belfast, and recrossed the following night. He admitted that his airship was the mysterious cue reported from Caerphilly, Cardiff,: Northampton, and elsewhere.

A Womon's Aerial League lias been formed. Lady O'lJngan, in 'presiding, stated that their intention was to present the nation with an airship of Hrit'sli -construction, and to give scholarshios at technical schools to proirote the, Study of aerodynamics.
