Mr Deakin, the Premier, announced that measures would bo introduced to provide for an inter-state Commission, High Conmiissionership, compensation for° seamen, prohibition of inequitable rebates by trusts and combines, and universal military training (in connection with the development of citizen soldiery the services of one of tlio best commanders in the British Army would be sought).
