In fine sunshine the Press delegates and ladies journeyed by steamer from Balloch to the head of Loch Lomond, returning to Inversnaid, .thence by coach to Stranoclachar. After sailing across Loch Katrine, they drove to Callander, where they took farewell >f the Lord Provost and other Glasgow hosts. Mr Davies (Hobart), speaking at the Glasgow Corporation banquet, said that proofs of Britain's resources were seen* in the hives'of industry outside London. A great object lesson to the delegates was the sight of the nucleus of the Commonwealth navy upon the stocks, and lie expressed the hope that the Australian fleet would eventually become of great assistance to the Motherland. Mr Fink (Melbourne) said that the citizens "f the overseas dominions cherished far above wealth the qualities and traditions and sense of government inherited from Britain. To Australians Glasgow was more than tho commercial capital of Scotland.
