" Rhiebottle" writes to ridicule ancl to protest against the proposed third, presentation to the- battleship New Zealand,, as a silly thing, a means of perpetuating the narrow-minded-ness of Timaru, and causing the name of Timaru "to be held up to scorn and ridicule by the whole nni'verse."—The ridicule v is not delicate enough in touch to be effective —in the desired direction—and the protest too strong for publication in full.—Ed. t:h.
