ALBURY SALE. The regular monthly sale was held at Albiirv yesterday, when a lair entry was submitted. Competition was good on alt lots of forward wethers and l»mbs, while backward lambs were clifricult, to place. . Prices ruled as fol-lovvs.:—-Fat lambs. 12s lOd, 13s to 13s Id ; fat U etliers. 14s 4d: store wethers 9s 9d. lis Gd to 12s 7d: store lambs. 7s 3d, 8s Sd. 10s Id, 10s 2d, 10s 3d to 12s 4d (the last price was obtained for a fine line of fat and forward lambs)}; six and eight-tooth ewes', 13s Id; failing-mouth do.. 6s.ld. Cattle — Fat heifers' to £4 10s. springers_£2 10s to £5 55,. young .cattle to £'2 3s. TIMAR.U WOOL AND SKIN SALE. There was a large at the skill and wool sale yesterday, and bidding; w'as very animated, prices showing, a distinct rise on ruling rates. ALDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. May 26.fi Slieep.—The store sheep were mostly of a useful class. Included in the yarding were several lines of Chatham Island sheep. The better classes of « wes and hognets. were in rather better demand.four and six-tooth ewes making up to 16s Id, failing-mouth 10s to lis <sd, halfbred wether hoggets 7s -4d. ihree-quarterbred hoggets (mixed >exes) to lls 4d. forward wethers 12s, others 9s to lis. The entry of tat lambs was not quite so large as last week, and the quality was 011 the whole good. Exporters were operating freely, and prices for tegs were firmer. General run of prices was lls_Gd to 14s, heavv weights 13s Id to 13s. ami light sorts 10s to lis 4d. In fat .sheep the bulk of the ewes and wethers were in .good demand for export, and the better class of '"at ewes showed an advance. The range of prices was — Prime wethers 14s Gd to 17s Gd. extra to 19s. lighter 12s Id to 14s, prime ewes 12s to 14s. extra -to I3s 4d. medium 9s Gd to lis Gd. aged and light 6s 3<i to 9s, and nierino wethers 8s 2d to lis 6d. Cattle. —193 head of fat cattle were penned, and the shorter supply resulted in brisker competition, and values advanced about Is per 1001b. prime-quality realising 18s 6d to 20s. medium 16s to ISs, and cow and inferior 14s to 13s Gd per 1001b. Steers sold , at £7 to £lO. heifers £3 to £B. rows £0 to £6 7s 6d. calves from 4s Gd to £2 10s. In store cattle, fifteen to eighteen months made 38s Gd. two-year steers £2 14s. two-year heifers £2 7s 6d. three-year heifers £3 17s 6d. dry cons 20s to £4 7s Gd, dairy cow* £3 Kh to £9 17s fkl. figs.—Prices Por fats were weaker, und for stores there was only a faildemand. BURNSIDE STOCK M.ARKFT. DUNEDIN, May 20. Cattle.- —2SO were yarded, a fair proportion being of really good .|iiality. Sheep.—2B92 were yarded, of choice quality.
