ATTEMPTED MURDER—SUICIDE.

George Brown, a collier at Conisburgh, Yorkshire, being worklcss for eleven months, attempted the murder of his eight sleeping children by turning on the gas. lie then committed suicide.*
The children arc in a serious condition, but will probably recover.
