T ADIES AND GENTLEMEN,— ' In thanking you for the confidence reposed in me for three previous terms in the Tiniavu Borough Council, I again offer my services as one of your representatives, and I have to assure you that if you do me the honour of again electing mo to that position, I shall, as hitherto, devote my best energies to securing the town's advancement, and at the same time confine its expenditure to the reasonable, limits justified by its income.—Yours faithfully, WILLIAM SATTERTHWAITE. The progressive, works of the Borough Council, with which I have been closely associated during the past six years, have been for the progress and advancement of our town. I believe in a Progressive Policy f or the Borough of Timaru, and whilst 1 approve of the general policy of the late Council I do not approve or the expenditure of large sums of money < n public buildings, and would oppose tne erection at present of new Municipal Buildings. I would also oppose any maten il alteration to the present underground drainage scheme, and would support measures for the widening of Cullmann street and the extension of the Borough of Timaru.
