Owen Barker pleaded guilty to a charge of having driven a motor car over a street intersection at greater than a walking pace, and was fined 10s and 7s costs. Walter Pobar appeared on a. charge of fading to obey au order to pay as a 'week towards the support of his mother. Sub-Inspector Green said the defendant was ill arrers to the extent of £l4 6s, and as be came from Dunedin he would ask that a remand 'be granted to that town. The''remand was granted, and an application for bail refused.

On the application of his sou, a prohibition order , was granted against a resident of this town.
