Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March Is. . The Wellington Grocers' dispute was hjeard by the Arbitration Court to-day. Mr Carey for the Union said that the parties had been able agree on all ■p'oints except ;the question of the wages of assistant grocers and carters. The wages fixed sixiand a half years ago were not commensurate 'with, tho cost ■o ! f living to-day which had increased 18 to 20 per cent.. The Union asked that assistants over 23 years of age receive £3 per week and that, the wages : of youths '■ be in proportion.; That S? 10 ' minimum' wages of carters be for driving and attending single hprse £2 10s, two'.'horses £'2 14s and' for each additional horse 4s per "week, boys under seventeen to be not/.allowed to drive horse's in the interests of the safety of thepublic.
