LABOUR.

AUCKLAND UNEMPLOYED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Feb. 22. After hearing an unemployed deputation to-day the Mayor, Mr Myers, enquired from the Labour Bureau the condition of the labour market, and was informed that employment has recently been found for 236 men, and there were now 172 on the hooks. He suggested that a deputation should supply him with a list of the names of the unemployed." He would then communicate with the Premier and take steps immediately to see what municipal works authorised could be put in hand.
