ASHBURTON v. TIMARU. The return match between the Ashburton and Timaru .Bowling Clubs took place on Saturday bn the Sarah street green. The teams were well matched, and some very good play was seen, victory ultimately resting with the Timaru Club by 9 points!. At the conclusion,. Air M. White, oil'behalf of the Timaru Club, expressed the pleasure of his club in meeting the Ashburton players again, and though on the losing side, he hoped they had enjoyed their game. Three hearty cheers were then given for the Ashburton Club. Mr Stewart, president, replied on behalf of the Ashburton C'lub, stating that they had thoroughly enjoyed their game, and hoped the friendly relations between the two clubs would'long continue. He tlien called on liis merry nien to give three cheers for the Timaru Club, which were given heartily. The following are the spores : Ashburton. 'Timaru. ' P. Stewart. Seaward Flower Young J.
