Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Jan. 25. At Terapa on Saturday, while riding with ■ two oiher Maori boys, Te Rangi, Taituka, 14 years of age, was fatally crushed through a cart overturning in a hole in the road, and pinning him to the ground by his shoulders. The other occupants of the cart were thrown clear. At the inquest a verdict of accidental death was returned. WESTPORT, Jan. 25. A young man named Abraham Robert Hayman was instantaneously killed by a fall of earth and stone from a sluicing face at a mining claim at Giles' Terrace. He was pinned down by a stone one ton and a half m weigm. GHRISTCHURCH, Jan..25. On Monday last while the Premier and party were motoring through Little River at a smart pace they met a youth named Bradley riding. On the horn being sounded several times, the animal took fright with the result that the lad was severely thrown against a verandah post and rendered unconscious for a minute and is still under the doctor's care. OAMARU, Jan. 25. Whilst a man named Chisliolm, irom Southland, who was visiting friends in Oamaru, was walking to church yesterday morning, he fell into the arms of his son-in-law and suddenly expired. Mr Chisholm had been in delicate health for some time and had previously been treated for heart disease. To-day, another painfully sudden death occurred. Robert Helson, who, for many years had been fireman at the Oamaru Woollen Mills, was cycling to

work along Thames street, when lie was seen to suddenly fall off his bicycle. On assistance arriving Helson a condition was seen to be serious and medical aid was summoned, but the doctor on arriving, could only pronounce life to be extinct. It is understood that Henson had been treated for heart disease. DUNEBIN, Jan. 25. Mrs' E. "Wilson, 74 years- of age, a passenger by the Whakatane, which arrived from London to-day, died from bronchitis on December l4th. "Wilson was on her - way out to Join her relatives. Ernest Buchanan, five years old, was accidentally drowned in the Molvneux river at Tuapeka mouth oil Saturday. The child fell into the river while playing om the bank with another child. Tile bodv has not been.recovered.
