At a well-attended no license giving meeting held last evening the following resolution was unanimnusly carried: —"That this meeting expresses it« appreciation of the attitude adopted by the Premier with reference to tJio intention of the liquor trade to place a brewery on the boundary of the Ashburton eleetorate. and thanks him for his promise to introduce legislation to Rive effect to the will of the people in ho license areas."
