G. balder has lately imported 6orne of the famous Sjiddeh-y aulocaro from Home, and their reliability, economy, and simplicity, combined with their fine anoearanre. ha* earned for them a ready sale; several South Canterbury resident* have availed themselves of the opportunity of securing one. Yesterday a representative of the " Herald" accotnpan cd Mr Nalder on a •rial run to Wiinhisler and back; in an 18 25 h.p. car, when the test of i't. paces proved entirely satisfactory. The Siudeley used wot- one of tl»e four-cylinder models, and oik the flat as also on the hilbi- it behaved beautifully, running with a smoothness and precision such as left nothing to be iksired. As giving some Idea of its capability for quick moving, the return journey from Wi'hclksnt to Timaru wart accomplished in SJ7 minutes, while the run from Winchester to Tcmuka, a dit-tance of 4 miles, was accomplished in 6 minutes. The car ha* seating accommodation for live, and with its flexible springs it :x a very, comfortable vehicle in which to ride. A feature of its running »•« the absence of noise,- the- car possessing a mu-t effective silencer. - But for a faint ticking of the valveo there is nothing to lead one lo think that the engiucs ai«? :n motion.
