HUMPTY DUMPTY." / " Humpty Dump'.y," Mr J. C. Williamsou's latest pantomime extravaganza, will be staged.for the first time in "fimaru, at the Theatre Royal, this Evening. As a rule one does not look for a clean out plotor a connected story in gorgeous spectacular shows like " Humpty Dunipty." Every schoolboy knows that " Humpry Dumpty " sat on a wall, and that he had a great fall. But. in this pantomime extravaganza the whole crooked career of "Humjity Dumpty'' is laid bare. He commences life as a bad egg, and take* delight in adding to the troubles of King Solium, a melancholy monarch, who has never been known to japUe. ; The quaint and; guflp-like Humpty has the magical power of "wishing " and on the promise of a rich reward, he wishus the king to laugh. He is successful, but the mean monarch wishes to evade his liability by confusing the issue as to the reward, and "decreeing that the money and his daughter's hand would be awarded to the poison who shall find a certain ring that is lest. This new condition brings Prince Rudolph to the fore,land lie is the favourite for Tthe hand of the fair Princess Aurora, and he is, naturally, aided in his search by the Fairy Claribel. In the end Prince Rudolph finds the ring and claims the hand of tiie Princess. The scenery and mechanical effects in Humpty Dumpty, and the costumes, the ballets, and the artistic, pageants, are said to reach the high, water mark of theatrical management. The features most admired are "The Hall of Ten Thousand Lights," the gorgeous ballet, the march of " Nations, the States ballet, the nursery rhymes ballet, in the diving bell. King Solum's spacious palace, the tuneful musical and the animal impersonations of Qut-en and Leßrun. The "star" of a big bunch of comedians is Mr Bert C.i.Wrt, the celebrated English artist, whose part of King Solium was a big feature of the English production of "Humpty Dumpty." He is ablv assisted by Messrs Harry Shine, Victor" Loydall, C. Howard, Gtorge Young and N. Easty. The ladks of the company comprise Misses Mabelle Morgan. Irene Dillon, Nance Maher, Beatrice English, Olga Qrey - and Prtfsy Preslon. . * "
