AGRICULTURAL STATISTICS.

Three months ago a leliurh showing the estimated yield was published, and it is now interesting to compare this with the actual results, which show that the estimates were framed on moderate lines. ' •_ Last year's" crop of barky was 1,165.406 bushels taken off 56,177. acres, an average of 52.15 bushels .per acre. For the previous season (he area, average and total were kins, being 55,305 acres and 31.03 bushels per acre, giving a. total of 1.035,546 bushels. Canterbury district was th-> largest contributor, with Marlborough next. For the seaisoli under notice the area under potatoes was 27,055 acres, yielding 142.999 tons, an average of 5.23 tor..* per acre. For the previous season the figures were respectively 51.289 acivs. 5.42 tons per acre and total yield 169,875 tons.
