CRICKLEWOOD.

(From our own Correspondent.) I Since writing you the great- la'u and snow storms have conic ;md gone. We bad a hill share of the heavy rain, but. owing to the general slope of the country, it did liltlo damage beyond scouring track hero and Dure tlnough a, few cu'.t.iva ted fields. McKay's footbridge, on the main road was washed away, bub has been promptlv replaced' by t lie County Council. Just before the rains the Levels Council hud repaired the ford at Wrights bridge, but owing to tlis heavy scour at that spot the work was lost. 1 hough .six inches of snow fell, this has now entirely disappeared on the thits and sunny facos. the Brothers Hills being nearly clear on Die Cricklewood side. Though there is s:ill a good deal of snow on the Alburv range, the snow line is rapidly rising and the sunny faces becoming clear. J; ortunately all farm work was weil advanced before the stotms, and thy aiiituiui sown crops are now looking splendid. Several mobs of sheep and cattle are being moved down this way from the -Mackenzie Country for feed ; . and though iconic of them have been having a hard time lately, they look comparatively well. We have had a succession of moderate frosts, but the land in any cawc is utill too wet to touch. There senilis to be no fccarcity of feed and things geneial'.y are in a. .sitlisfacfoiT condition.

A v< iy succe fifnl euchre prirty organised by Mr. W. Bray in aid of the organ fund was held in tlw schoolroom on Friday evening. A huge number of players took part and the complete arrangements resulted in ;i most sal evening bein'.g tpent. Mr. Arthur liinesj-JoiMS gave some fine selections on the phonograph, and Mws J. Wright a selection on the new organ. The prize* which were unusually good oil's, were dona'ed by friends, and were won by Mifs N. WrigliO (lirst), and Mrs. G. Cooling (special) ; and O'Connor ((special). Excellent, refroliments were provided by the ladies, and were enjoyed with Hie niiisic, while the ".ics" were being played off.
