The Auctioneers' Conference recommends that lio Hcer.ee be. granted by--a local body l after refusal by another, 1 " appeal against the refusal to grant a license, licenses ro be issued" for tweW months from, January Ist, auctioneers to be permit--ted, to provide a substitute during ;tbe currency' of _ the license, and further-'that one or more licenses should be issued in the name of the company or firm which at the time of- applying for such license, nominates some person who shall be entitled to sell by public auction throughout the Dominion, that such company or firm may vary such nomination upon pay-, ment of "a fee,of 10s, the nominee of the licensed company or firm -to be exempt from sections 18-to 20 of the Act. The auctioneers Will wait on the ■.. AttorneyGeneral this- afternoon, urging that the suggestions be .embodied <in the proposed Auctioneers Act. ' -
