The Royal Geographical Society's Baeic bluest medal has been awarded to Lieutenant Mulock for survey work on the Antarctic expedition and Antarctic Ll Sir George Goldie. the president of the Soci ty. remarked that the most notable event "of the year was Lieutenant Shaeklet on's resumption of Antarctic work. Dr. Charcot's expedition wiil start In August to explore between King Echvarrf the* Seventh Land and Grahamland, and Dr. Bruce is trying to arrange for an expedition, and others are in contemplation.
