Kind Edward, Queen Alexandra and the Prince, of Walts met 11. Fallieres in the Industrial Hall of the Franco-British Exhibition, and proceeded to the Court- ot Honour, where numerous presentations were made, an inspection of the French, British and Colonial Courts followed. .1 his was necessarily brief, the Canadian Court being unfinished and unopened. Mr Kennaway representing Mr Reeves, High Commissioner of New Zealand, received the royalties at the New Zealand Court, Mr Waldegrave, Mr J. Mac Lean, atul" Colonel W. Smith Chater being also pre.-eni. Mr Cameron explained the principal features of the Court. . King Edward waG delighted with the sporting exhibits, particularly the red deer from stock presented by the late Prince Consort-, also the kauri trophy, rugs and tweeds from New Zealand wool.
Lord Jersey received the Royal Party in the Australian Court, and explained tho arrangements of the courts and the jointexhibits. The party visited the other Australian States' courts. Mr Rason, AgentOienoral for West Australia presented King Kdward with an inkstand made v of Weistralian woods. The Queen was deeply interested 'in the Queensland opals and beryls and asked that a selection of the stones be sent tq her. King Edward informed Lord Jersey of his extreme pleasure at the appearance of the Australian Cottrts and congratulated all concerned on the fine management displayed. His -Majesty regretted the shortness of his visit but they would come again. M. Fallieres' verdict ■was Ire's. magnifique!" King Edward was greatly pleased with the Australian tropical garden. In Central. Hall the Australian Comtnissioners, Agents-General and representatives of New Zealand and the Crown Colonies 'were presented to their Majesties and the President of France. PARIS, May 27.
