There wax only a small attendance of Knglish and Joteign buyers, but local buyers wrt<- well represented. Competition was tdac-k thronglioot. but- we managed to dispose of. by auction and privately, a fair proportion of our catalogue. The following is our range of prices:—lst 4-bred. 7Jd to BJd : 2nd £- bred and J-bred. 6.Jd t»> 7d: crossbred. 6id to 7«d; cntted and dead. 4jd to 5Jd: bellies and pieces. s£d to sd: locks. 3d to 3|d. The bnlk of the entry being passed lots from previous saies and indifferent wools, only ;t few Home buyers were represented, and the colonial mill* were comspicuons by their absence. Fortunately several speculators ■were operating, 'and with the assistance of local and outside buyers totalling 25. we are pleased to report a fairly satisfactory sale. Fine wools of all descriptions showed fi drop of Jd to Id per lb on the previous sale quotation: low crossbreds. however, maybe- quoted at par to £d higher: scouring lots as nsual at this centre brought full market valmK. liuring the seai-.on we have offered 4045 baks. at auction, liesides ptivate sales which total 520 hale*, making our turnover 4565 bales, which is va decided increase on the previous season. There was a fair attendance present, although quite a nurllber of the Home and Continental buyers were alweirt. Bidding was anything but brisk, consequently a laige proportion of the offerings was passed in. As compared with last sale all classes of tine- wools showed a decline of about jd to Id per lb: strong wools were unaltered.
